Kenzie King: I am currently seeking merchandisers to work in garden centers at locations anywhere from Logan to Sandy, Utah. You'll be assigned to one location if hired.
Duties will include:
moving large racks of flowers to display locations in the store and setting displays up.
Condensing flowers.
Pruning flowers, removing dead blooms (dead heading).
Setting flowers on display tables.
Moving 1000's of hanging baskets and planters.
Occasionally watering flowers when needed, house keeping, sweeping floors, cleaning up after a shipment has been merchandised.
These positions require moving flowers around from one location to another. (much like musical Chairs)
This is a VERY physical job, must be able to stand for long periods of time, must be able to lift 30 lbs above your head, this job is outdoors working in a garden center.
Must be a people friendly person and be able to work by yourself unsupervised and with others.
Seeking people with great communication skills, detail oriented, great work ethic, punctual, able to follow direction, teachable and organized.
These positions are seasonal. Both full and part time positions are available.
Horticulture or merchandising experience is preferred, but not necessary.
This position starts at the first part of April and will end mid July 2015
Starting wage $8.50 hr, or more, depending on experience.
